Hamburgers Can Be Healthy Also To Us


Consider to be the number one food of the Americans, Hamburgers are really popular, it seems that a fast food without it, is not a fast food at all. But hamburgers became synonymous with cholesterol and calories. And that is true, hamburgers contains a lot of it. High cholesterol and calories in the body will result in some common diseases.

However, hamburgers are not pure destructive food, if eaten occasionally, this food have benefits also into our body. This food can also help to boost our health.

Here are the benefits of Hamburgers:


CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid)

Beef that are being put to the hamburgers have a high content of fatty acid called “Conjugated Linoleic Acid” or CLA. In the year 1978, scientists at the Food Research Institute of University of Wisconsin found out that hamburger extract contains a compound that prevents the growth of cancer cells. That compound they found is the Conjugated Linoleic Acid or CLA. This day, CLA is known for many benefits, this includes the ability to fight inflammatory disease, promote weight loss and prevent weight gain. In March of 2010 issue of “Nutrition Journal” reports that grass-fed beef has higher content of CLA but low in overall fat content.


PROTEIN

Cells in our body contains protein, which makes it vital in having a good health. This protein in our body are constantly been broken down, and this means that it needs to replaced, in order to do that is to continually take it through diet. A 3-ounce of burger made with 90% lean ground beef contains 21.4 grams of protein, equivalent to 43% of recommended daily intake of 50 grams, according to USDA Nutritional Database.


VITAMINS

Also hamburgers contains vitamins, most of them belongs to B family. Those B vitamins are needed to turn food into energy needed by our body and helps the production of red blood cells. Vitamin B12, is the most abundant vitamins in hamburgers, contains 2.5 micrograms, which is 100% of daily recommended daily intake. Since, all B vitamins are essential in maintaining good health, any deficiency of it may result serious problems. Vitamin E and K can be found also in hamburgers.


MINERALS

Hamburgers contains packed full of minerals, and the most abundant is zinc. A 3-ounce of burger contains 5.4 milligrams of zinc or 36% of the recommended daily intake that are established by USDA, according to the National Institute of Health. Zinc have roles in our body, such aiding the formation of blood cells in the body, supporting metabolism and boosting our immune system.  Selenium, phosphorous, iron, potassium, magnesium, sodium, copper, calcium and a trace of manganese and fluoride can be found also in hamburgers.

So, don’t think that hamburgers are bad for our body, it contains also necessary nutrients that helps to maintain a good health. Eat hamburgers in control way not too much, because it will be bad for the body.
